MEDIA RELEASE
“We are pleased to celebrate with our graduating Class of 2023 for their graduation rate that marks an all-time high for our district and once again exceeds the State rate on this important educational milestone. Coupled with the SAT results released last month that also surpassed state and national averages, the MCSD Class of 2023 has distinguished itself as a truly outstanding student cohort. I commend them, their families, and the myriad of educators and other adults who have supported them throughout their educational careers to become full-option graduates”, states Dr. David Lewis, Superintendent.
The Cohort Rate is calculated using the data from students who graduate from high school within four years, as required by the U.S. Department of Education. It is also one of the indicators used in calculating the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI).
